This podcast is focused on religion and its influence on sex in modern American adolescents.
In order to discuss this topic, I sent around a survey to my peers asking multiple questions on their view of religion and sex. The questions I asked include:
What religion did the household you grew up in identify with? How did you learn about sex? Did/does your family ever talk about sex? What is the sexual expectation from your family? (remain virgin until marriage, lose your virginity in college, unsure, etc.). How comfortable are you talking about sex? Who should we talk about sex with? Do you feel comfortable talking to anyone in your family about sex? If yes, who and why? How do you think your religion has shaped your view on sex today? Should religion play a role in sex? Do you currently view sex as a positive or negative attribute to human life? Why? Did the topic of this survey (focus on sex) make you uncomfortable to think about?

Podcasts are super difficult to do, and you did a perfect job. I loved the idea of a survey and your explanation of the results was interesting. i also loved that you shared responses from some of participants, it made the whole thing more personal and not just numbers. This was amazing to listen to, and I never once got bored of the topic.
You chose very important, probing questions. Listening to the podcast, I found myself considering what my responses would be. I like your emphasis on family, as family tends to be the biggest religious influence.
This was so interesting! Great topic and it brought up some good points about the perspectives of our peers. I think a plurality of viewpoints should always be considered, especially when discussing something as intrinsic to human life as religion. I think you handled the topic eloquently, and you make a great podcast host!
I think you made a great decision to translate your project into the podcast media. I was able to listen to it on the bus on my way to school and I think that during the strange and hectic times we are experiencing right now, it is refreshing to have convenient access to such an interesting topic.
I love how your podcast made the whole conversation that so many of us shy from, engaging enough that I found myself repeatedly questioning the ideals surrounding sex and sexuality that I was exposed to as a child. Brilliantly executed.
The questions you chose are very spot-on. The points you brought up were very interesting; it was very easy to relate to the content and a great way for your audience to reflect on their own views.
Your topic is really interesting and it’s something that a lot of people think about even though nobody really seems to want to talk about it, so it’s refreshing to hear the results of your survey. I like that you gave some background on each religion first and that you pointed out some of the more surprising results and explained a little bit about why you think people responded like they did in relation to religion and society. You have a really great voice for this kind of thing and all of your findings were not only interesting, but also presented in an organised and understandable manner. Well done!
What I liked most about this project is the usage of information gathered from your peers. I think that just speaking about the topic was very powerful, but being able to ask the bigger questions to people around you is such a difficult thing and it was quite eye-opening seeing what they said. From my perspective, I rarely have conversations with my parents about anything to do with sexuality so seeing what other people our age had to say was a great touch!
This is a SUPER cool project! I really like that you did your own survey and collected your own results! Sharing their quotes and stories made it seem much more personal and relevant to our campus. Great work:)
